Our Story & Values
Holleford Homes was born from a deep passion for creating. Every project is treated as a work of art executed to the highest standards without compromise. Founded in 2019 by Kingston native Trevor Howden as a part‑time venture, the company grew out of Trevor’s dedication to building and his vision for a better way to serve clients. He set out to establish a boutique firm defined by quality, integrity, and reliability.
From day one, we’ve focused on doing things the right way – with integrity, clear communication, and meticulous attention to detail on every project. We limit the number of projects we take on at once, ensuring each client receives our full attention. Over the years, Holleford Homes has transformed countless houses into beautiful, welcoming spaces. We’ve expanded from tackling cozy bathroom remodels to managing full custom home builds, but our core values remain unchanged. We treat every home as if it were our own, and every client like a friend.
Today, Holleford Homes is proud to be Kingston’s trusted partner for luxury renovations and custom builds. Our small, dedicated crew shares Trevor’s commitment to excellence – we’re a close-knit team of craftsmen who genuinely care about the work we do and the people we do it for. Meet Trevor Howden – Owner & Operator
Trevor is the heart and soul of Holleford Homes. With over two decades of hands on experience in construction, he brings both technical and expertise and genuine care to every project. Trevor personally oversees each build and renovation, ensuring that workmanship meets the Holleford standards. He’s equally comfortable managing complex projects and crafting custom details by hand.
What truly drives Trevor is a passion for creating beautiful spaces that clients fall in love with. He thrives in the creative process and determining how intricate details will all come together. Known for his friendly, approachable style, Trevor makes sure his clients feel heard, informed, and comfortable throughout the project. “Building connections, memories, and beautiful spaces with clients is the best part of my job,” he says.
When he’s not on a job site, Trevor enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active and being outdoors. Hiking, fishing and relaxing by the lake on weekends are all his idea of a good time.
His personal passions shine through in the way Trevor runs Holleford Homes—with warmth, reliability, and an unwavering commitment to building something great.
Our Team
Josiah
- Role: Project Manager & Coordinator
- Experience: 14 years of experience in custom residential and commercial construction.
- What Josiah Does: He coordinates effectively with designers, architects, and our crews to ensure that details are executed accurately and project schedules are maintained. He also manages decision-making processes as needed and leads meetings both in our office and on-site.
Travis
- Role: Site Supervisor
- Credentials/Experience: Licensed carpenter | 15 years experience as a site supervisor doing custom home building and renovations.
- What Travis Does: He manages daily on-site operations by overseeing his crew's schedules and ensuring that deadlines are consistently met. He maintains quality control across all aspects of the project, whether related to our work or that of subcontractors. Additionally, he facilitates effective communication between the project manager and his team to ensure alignment and clarity. He’s the crew lead, mentoring team members, sharing techniques, and executing work to an exceptional standard.
Max
- Role: Site Supervisor
- Experience: 30 years experience in custom home building and renovations.
- What Max Does: He manages daily on-site operations by overseeing his crew's schedules and ensuring that deadlines are consistently met. He maintains quality control across all aspects of the project, whether related to our work or that of subcontractors. Additionally, he facilitates effective communication between the project manager and his team to ensure alignment and clarity. He’s the crew lead, mentoring team members, sharing techniques, and executing work to an exceptional standard.
Scott
- Credentials/Experience: Licensed carpenter | 15 years experience in custom carpentry and millwork in residential and commercial experience.
- What Scott Does: He is our lead carpenter for finished carpentry, specializing in executing complex, detailed custom woodworking. While his expertise is focused on custom woodworking, Scott’s skills are versatile and can be applied across various areas as needed. Additionally, he manages small to mid-sized projects, particularly during the finishing stages, ensuring precision and quality in every detail.
Tyson
- Role: Assistant Carpenter
- Experience: 3 years
- What Tyson Does: He is a reliable and invaluable team member, often serving as everyone’s right-hand man. Tyson is forward-thinking and an exceptional learner, constantly advancing his skills. He collaborates directly with project leads across all areas, playing a key role in ensuring that work is executed to the highest standard.
